The event successfully brought together over 4500 participants, out of which nearly 2500 were male volunteers and the rest 1500 female participants, showcasing a strong representation from all sections of society. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. R.G. Various stakeholders and partners including For Future India, Mangroove Foundation, NSS Volunteers from multiple colleges, and several community groups actively participated in the cleanup, strengthening the impact of the campaign. A unique highlight of the event was the Lucky Draw competition organized by MBMC for registered volunteers. To recognize and motivate their contribution, prizes were distributed, which included 5 bicycles and 25 gift hampers for the lucky winners. Through the collective efforts of all stakeholders, the drive successfully removed around 7410 kg of waste from the beach. Due to the beach’s sandy and soily texture, the waste collected contained a large portion of soil mixed with plastic and other debris. This initiative not only contributed to cleaner beaches but also emphasized the importance of citizen engagement, sustainable waste management, and preserving coastal ecosystems.
